I shoot with the edit in mind — and edit with the camera's eye. Observational footage, interviews, and quiet moments are shaped into a story with rhythm, space, and emotional truth. Images are given room to breathe.

I go where
the story is.

I started out drawn to images — and to the stories behind them — and learned the craft the only way that lasts: on real productions, across cinematography, editing, documentary, and television.

Over time I stopped thinking of filmmaking as capturing beautiful images. It's about understanding light, movement, people, and emotion, and shaping them into something that means something.

Today I work in Iraq as a cinematographer, editor, and director on international documentaries for the BBC and DW. Every production asks for a different visual language. What stays the same is the approach: natural human moments, thoughtful composition, controlled light, and the small details that make an image feel alive.
